I know you guys are real busy but...
TBN has experienced tremendous growth in the last few monthes. In some respects it is a victim of it's own success. I recall taking a <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=support&Number=107845&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1>user survey </A>a while back. I can't remember what all the questions were: I recall it covered some demographic and a little on the "future of tbn".
I feel it is time for another survey. With an added twist: how about brainstorming (on this forum) a little with the users to influence the "future of tbn" questions. The demographic questions are up to you guys so that you can sell the advertising that supports the site. Maybe you could list features you plan to incorporate & we could rank them for you. I feel that if the TBN staff started the thread and "advertised" it in other sections of the site it would generate more ideas.
As stated in the New Member Forum thread, I'd like to see the search feature turbocharged & "advertised" more. Maybe bump a message to the top of each forum every so often to remind new members to search first, ask second. Also add info on searching to the FAQ & guidelines.
As far as turbo charging the searching: You could have a simple key word search & then an advanced search that breaks it down by Forum, Thread Subject, username, & keyword. This should assist us in finding the info we want.
I'd also like to see TBN t-shirts.
Oh yeah and <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=support&Number=202376&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=>TBN days</A> (but you're already working on that)
I hope the past survey was a success for TBN. Based on the current growth rate, maybe it could be a bi-annual or even quarterly event.
I hope this doesn't come accross as critical, just trying to offer some suggestions to keep TBN (and CBN) my favorite places on the internet.
