Your welcome. I've enjoyed sharing. Cold night here tonight. Fireplace is up and running and we are really enjoying the new home. We were also able to finally get internet service as of today. You would have thought it was Christmas when the kids found out.

Just thought I'd drop an update on the home performance now that temps have dropped. We've been really impressed so far. I think the extra cost of foam insulation is really going to pay off in the long run. The cold front hit Monday evening. Our high since then has been 33 degrees with lows in the teens and dropped to 8 degrees last night. So far the fireplace alone has been keeping up with the main living area (living, entry, kitchen, dining, loft). This is a lot of open space. It was a toasty 73 degrees earlier when I left. We did have to turn on the heat for the master wing and the north wing upstairs. The kids rooms were getting pretty chilling without anything to move the heat from the main living area. Even then those zones rarely seem to kick on.

I've got the heat off in the basement and it has been holding a steady 62 degrees. The walkout garage in the basement has been holding at 58. I'm sure this will drop as the ground temps start to come down but we are really happy so far.

Also - here's a couple of pics of the back of the house. I didn't have any when I posted final pictures but I've finally got it cleaned up and some lighting installed before the ground freezes up.

The outside pics were actually an HDR photo. Three pictures -2, 0, +2 exposure combined into one image.

Really,really nice.

Down here in Texas, they'd charge you a pretty penny in annual property taxes just for your covered patio.

Great photos.

Jeremy,

What awesome pictures of your stunning house... Just W O W...

Do you burn wood or gas-logs in that fireplace, I cannot recall?

Be well,
David
