I was looking at a used Bobcat CT450 yesterday. The place was closed, so nobody helped / bothered me. I couldn't find a lever to lock for the steering wheel. I thought since the Bobcat is pretty much a white Kioti (and there are a lot more Kioti owners than Bobcat owners) that someone here could help. Thanks.

I don't understand why you were looking for "a lever to lock for the steering wheel"?

Edit, now I understand, I read the title, you wanted to unlock the tilt steering column.

Sorry I can't help with that.

Not sure about the older models but my 7320 has a lever below the steering wheel that I depress with my foot while I tilt the wheel toward me. When the steering wheel is in the position I want, I release my foot and the lever springs back into the locked position.

My Kubota is the same as woolyAcres describes.

Thank you!

I was looking for something nearer the steering wheel, like on cars. The steering wheel just flops down and is unlocked all the time. Maybe there's a spring missing.

The tractor is a little over an hour away from here, and I'll check that out when I go back.

Now I understand your first post.

I have never seen a floppy steering wheel.

Find the foot lever/pedal, move steering wheel assembly to desired position, and hold it there and see if the pedal will function to lock it into position. If not it may need a spring or adjustment....

Typically the lever that releases the steering column has to be moved back into the locked position as it is not spring loaded. It should be located on the facing shroud by your shins.
