I have an opportunity to purchase a "used" Landpride RTA1558 tiller. I have a Kubota B2150, 24HP (18 HP at the PTO). The guy is asking $1,000.00/BO for the tiller. It is 6 years old and he paid almost $1,900.00 for it new. I have not seen it yet, but he claims to keep it in the garage and it is in excellent condition. He said he had a small JD tractor with 17HP at the pto that worked.

Will my B2150 handles this tiller and does this sound like a good price?

I was thinking an offer of $800-900 as long as it worked on my tractor.

Thanks for the replies...

I ran a 54" tiller on a b2400 with no problem power wise. It was a lot of weight on the rear, but my FEL offset the added rear weight of the tiller.

pratzert,
I'm not going to say that it is worth it or not, nor start some brand war, but -- I believe you could buy a new King Kutter tiller for about that price. Althouth one problem is that the 60" King Kutter is 270lbs heavier.

I agree with the other guys, power should be no problem. I ran a 5 foot Befco on my B7100 with no problem. As for the price, I am not familiar with the brand you mentioned. But, tillers generally hold value well if maintained.

I run a KK 60in on my B7500 without trouble. I wouldnt try it without my FEL on though.

Agreed. The tiller is heavy, and I always ran with a loader as well. Of course on my B7100 the loader was not quick detach, so it was always on the machine.
