Kubota B7100
I picked up a heavy duty Bolens tiller, its was made to run off the front of the Bolens motor via pulley that ran down to a driveshaft that ran to the tiller on back. The problem is it turns CCW and my Kubota B7100 turns CW.

My question is would it work ok if I reversed the tines and had the tiller spin backwards? The tines will be quick and easy to reverse. I know it would push the dirt forward, but will that create a problem? I have been looking into trying to mount a small transmission in reverse gear to change the direction, but that would stick the tiller out behind the tractor quite aways.

Also, would the PTO shaft need to have a slide on it or could it be a solid shaft?

If the tiller is mounted on three point hitch the PTO will have to slide and be sized in length for the range of the lift arc.:D

The reverse rotation may work if the tractor has enough HP to pull the the reverse rotation tiller.:confused:

The guy I bought it from told me he used it on a small Bolens with a Briggs engine on it so I would hope my 16hp 3 cyl diesel will run it ok.

Thank You for your reply,

Cleve
