I have a BX2200 and the Kubota 48" Tiller. It works great, I just used it again this weekend. I am not sure of the price difference, but I know that the Kubota is very well made. The KK stuff (although most here have been happy with), has never really impressed me in terms of quality.
And of course the Kubota tiller matches...
:D

I used to run a small Bush-Hog tiller on a BX2200. I think it was 42", but i don't think you will have any trouble with a 48". I wouldn't going any larger than 48".

My Kubota B7510HST handled a $300 used Yanmar RS-1200 rototiller (4-ft wide) with no problem.

I had a hard time justifying the price of a new 4ft rototiller when I only needed it for landscaping around my new house and to till the veg garden.

I run a KKII 48" gear drive on the BX2350 which is comparible to your 2200. No problems to report, works fantastic. The 2200 should have no problem with a 48"-50" Tiller.

Sheesh jc, how did you wash your tractor in the middle of tilling??:D

Seriously, did the field look like the wildflowers in the background? Nice work...

I'm teetering on the edge of buying a LandPride tiller myself for my BX, these pictures aren't helping.

The tiller will also work on my BX23.

Where are the ag tires for this ground engaging work?
I use the front blade to counter balance my tiller.

local kubota dealer 4' bushhog tiller 1500.00
32" 1175.00
trac supply king kutter 48" 1349.00
agri supply 48" delevered 1257.95

maybe i can figure a way to make the one from agri supply fit
my trailer.

LB -- I have loaded R4's for the BX but have found they are not needed in most cases, so I have been using the turfs this year with minimal issues.
The suitcase weights work well, and make the setup more maneuverable.;)

I have a couple of suitcase weights for my CC GT2554 that I tried to hook on the front of my BX1500 but they wouldn't clear the gril and the plate they hook on.

I may have to bolt another bracket on the plade to hang the weights on.
I thought the weights might come in hand when I'm using other 3 point attachments with this tractor

I've got the RS1200 Yanmar 48" on my BX2200 and it powers it now problem. I usually run it at 1/3-1/2 throttle. A 50" would be fine too. I don't have filled tires, just the turf's and they work fine for any of the tilling or plowing that I've done with it. Most of the time I don't even bother with front suitcase weights that I have. Even in 2wd it hardly ever spins a tire when tilling.
