Throttle help

Hey I have a l3940 was pushing trees and got a branch stuck by high pressure filter go peddle moves freely back and forward but engine speed does not increase no power. Can manually increase idle and than works fine. Been under tring to find what I broke all looks good ( no spurting fluid no broke cables no obvious bends no other branches ). When under tractor can see all moving parts one part of linkage slides into a hole on main part and has a spring to back it out don't know what pushes it into hole guessing part of safety switch. What am I missing I know enough to get in trouble so asking for help

Just to share my discovery found out that i shut off the throttle advance guess when you always have it on you can forget what it's like not to have it. Happy it's fine and a few more cedar trees have now bit the dust
