Thoughts on pricing B2650HSDC

I had decided that getting the B3350 was a no-brainer. It's a lot more horsepower for only $1500 up-front. That horsepower will make all of your work easier, but will especially matter if/when you buy a snowblower, tiller, mower, or anything else that hooks to the PTO.

Its not $1500 more, its almost $4000 more to gain 7hp. Not only that, but you go from no emissions to a full emissions package. If you don't mind not letting it idle and having it do the whole regen thing, then maybe thats not a problem to you. For a small hp gain, I don't think its worth it. I (and others) have found the Tier 4 engines have less "usable" power than a similar rated non emissions engine, so I wonder if it would be that noticeable. The B2650 has good power/size.

After years of enjoying threads on these forums, one solid piece of advice I can relay is this: check with Barlow's in KY- many times folks have reported very good deals from them. I have found shipping a tractor across state lines is much less than paying sales tax, but of course, self-reporting use tax negates that, but some folks forget to do that. Assuming you do your own fluid and filter maintenance, you shouldn't need a local dealer for anything normally.

I use the 'Build My Kubota' section on the Kubota website to find MSRP w/ options, then multiply that number by 0.85 for a 'decent deal' benchmark. I've found it pretty accurate for a bottom line.
