My tractor arrived three hours early, mid morning, with the new PFL3048 forks, my only add on. Purpose short term is clearing a couple acres of dense forested property. I'm not an experienced operator, but I got a lot of work done with just the forks this afternoon, but I can already see the value in being able to grab something. Long term, just an available tool and another service to offer. I'm on a budget , so a set of teeth for my bucket is first on the list, and then the grapple. I'm trying to put off the purchase of a legit grapple implement until I get some other needed stuff like a tiller and new intermediate duty brushhog.
My B7800 with a tooth bar can do a LOT of work. When I broke a lower link arm (3pt) using my box blade I had to carry on and break up some ground (some high spots to clip) so I ran the bucket with the tooth bar crammed straight into the ground and back-dragging. Not pretty, but once again it came through. It's also been used to catch and spin logs around, and used to pop out stumps. I've dug a bunch with it, though it's not as good for getting brush like the "shark tooth" gizmo.
