Thorttle Tension Adjustment - JD 2020

I have a JD 2020 that has a very stiff throttle and I was wondering if anyone knows how to reduce the tension on it. S/N > 62,925 so I don't believe it has the tension adjustment nut and I cannot tell from the Parts diagram where you might adjust the tension. The JD service manual only mentions adjusting the tension on S/N < 62,925. Is it not adjustable on later models? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tension for hand throttle is supplied by friction washers(keys 3 or 19) depending on your tractors serial #. Have you tried lubricating pivot points of throttle? I would be hesitant to lube washers.

Thanks, Tx Jim. No, I have not lubricated anything yet. And to be honest, I'm not exactly sure what mine looks like. I have a JD 2020 gas rear (S/N 65,134) matched with what I believe is a diesel 2120 front (S/N 96455CD). I'm going to take the side panel off this weekend and have a look.
