If all of you would care to take a moment to view the slide show at the following link http://www.tractorbynet.com/forumfiles/slide show (J).pps
I think you will enjoy what you find.
A special thanks to Muhammad for letting this oversized piece on the board! Thank You Muhammad!!!
P.S. - I have no idea who created this, it was sent to me by one of my inumerable cousins in Oregon.
P.P.S. - Didn't think about this, but requires PowerPoint viewer to see....worth the trouble though.

It must be a PC thing, as it does not work on a mac. Maybe Harv can make it work so all can see it.

A pps file is a powerpoint presentation file. You will need the powerpoint viewer which I believe is downloadable from microsoft.

Well, PowerPoint is a MS program, so really, I doubt it will work with a Mac unless otherwise stated on that page I liked to...

Sorry guys! I didn't even consider WHAT this was created with. I have run MS Office for so long that I don't even think that someone else may not. My work has always required me to have it for company as well as government docs.
Where's Harv when you need him? He's the guru on the MAC stuff as well as the pic/slide show stuff!

Scruff, that says it all. Nice piece. It hits home for all of us.

Thanks

Gordon, it is nicely done isn't it. Cudo's to the creator of that slide show....they hit the nail right smack on the head with it.
I felt it was worth sharing with TBN, and hope all will get a chance to view it...Hopefully Harv will have a trick up his sleeve for the MAC folks.

Yes, that show is incredible. My ISP would not allow the download from Microsoft site, however the link Muhammad provided worked/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.Thanks to all.

I down loaded the power point viewer, but still can not get the file to display. When I click on the link, I get a message the file can not be found. I was able to find the file by looking at all the forum files (it is the last one), but when I click on it, I get a screen full of funny characters. Anyone know what I need to do to display the file? Thanks.

Sorry Scruffy -- just got back from a weekend of tractorin'. Kinda ironic, ain't it? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Sometimes, Muhammad, I get the feeling you're one of those "Macs ain't real computers" kinda guys, but you are way too computer savvy to really believe that. As GlueGuy points out, there is a Mac version of PowerPoint. Also MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger, etc. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

As for the "File Not Found message, Bob (rlk) -- Netscape, at least the Mac versions, takes offense at embedded spaces in file names. It's late, and I'm too pooped right now to test Netscape on my Windoze machine, but I just tried the same link with Internet Explorer (for Mac) and everything worked fine.

In fact, having just seen the presentation myself, I'm going to bed with a slightly more uplifted feeling than I've had for the last several days. Thanks, Scruffy.
