Ordering something online and having it shipped UPS only to have UPS drop it off at the US post office so that I have to take time from work and drive to town to pick up said package that should have been delivered to me:mur:

FedEx does that around here. But not UPS.

Or when they drop it off to the USPS and they deliver it. And it's a new guy that smashes your well cap as he flies through your yard!!

I guess he didn't feel like doing a 3 point turn in the driveway and just backed up at speed without looking. Farther than he needed to. The PVC exploded. Shards everywhere. I was only gone to the store for 15 minutes. When I got back there was a package and the carnage. Oh well. I fixed it and moved on.

He denied it when I called and asked about it. I was in the driveway a month or so later when he pulled in with a package. I kindly showed him where the well was ;-)

That reminds me, I need to add a post next to our well (steel casing) so that it doesn't get lost in someones blind spot.

Now that's a mailbox for the kids of the Midwest.

We put up a Rubbermaid brand box on a wooden post that's 5 ft in the ground with a rod and piece of chain bolted to it at the bottom for resistance. A tractor loader would pull it out but not a high school J.D. That mailbox seems indestructible and I'll give it two thumbs up.

Boys have tried to damage the box and/or pull the post out of the ground for more than 10 years now but no dice on either. For the past five years they stopped trying. Move along boys---nothing to see here.

I hope I'm not repeating one somebody else has already stated, Items being sold that require ( Mail in Rebates ) annoy the heck out of me,

Here I am looking through a Tiger Direct sales flier finding all kind of great deals, I reach for my glasses to read that ittle bitty fine print below only to find it reads after mail in rebate,

which reminds me of a trip I made to Harbor Freight a couple months ago, My son took me to HF on Fathers day and wanted to buy me a New floor jack, I had a coupon for 20% off anything in the store, So I picked out a floor-jack load it into the shopping cart proceeded to check out and hand the cashier the coupon,
She stated that Floor-jacks were "excluded from coupon discounts" Now that mad me mad I asked her where is it that says this?
Of course right there on the coupon in small Very Fine print, I actually couldn't see it with my reading glasses on, I need both my glasses and a Magnifying glass to make out the writing,...... but it was right there in plain English how the heck do they get writing printed so small anyway!

I have one, but of course the ice maker is broke... we have resorted back to trays as well.

If you see (removed)'s thread about mother nature's mistake I guess I'm not the only one.

:laughing::laughing:Yep, I printed out one of those 20% off coupons myself and went to Harbor Freight for a 3/8", 14' chain with grab hooks yesterday. And even after reading the fine print with my magnifying glass, I wasn't sure if the coupon would be any good because it says "Cannot be used with other discount" and the chain showed to be $34.99 "on sale" with $9 off for $25.99; however, the young lady took the coupon, which gave me another $5.20 off, so it only cost me $20.79 plus tax.:laughing:
