Checked the bulb with 12v (it is a 12volt 3w bulb). It burns nice and bright. I am moving on. My time and curiosity leads me to mess with it but not willing to pay someone to repair something that really doesn't matter. Thanks to all for your ideas.

I am in the same boat - would be nice but not necessary. I learned how long I need to keep the key to the TS spot while I had the intake off and watched the coil glow red and create heat and smoke. I think I was only doing it for 15 or seconds when I really need to do it for 30-40 for my tractor.
