The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

This is a forum that is primarily focused on Compact Utility Tractors and SCUTs. Utility tractors are a different breed. Those of you with 100hp tractors represent a very small fraction of the TBN users who are primarily amateurs not farmers and almost everyone who comes here to learn about grapples is a grapple novice. I'm ever so happy for you that you can spend $3500 on a grapple but the vast majority of readers of this thread are grapple novices looking to buy a cost efficient grapple for a sub 50hp CUT and that is who my comments are directed towards.

As for bending my tines, that was the hydraulics operating against a one plus ton granite rock. And it was just the tips of the lid. The bottom tines are 3/8" steel and are stronger than any standard bucket. You couldn't damage the grapple with your loader unless you decided to ram something off center at speed. I doubt you're quite that dumb. BTW, the same grapple I have is used on another TBN members M59. He loves it. No problems.

IT, give us a break! Now YOU have decided that TractorbyNet is only for SCUT Tractor owners? If those of us with 50 HP and Greater tractors are to be uninvited to TBN let the site owner STATE THAT VERY CLEARLY! You are neither site owner nor the OP of this thread.

Or maybe site should be renamed SCUTBN?

Many of us have subtly, or not, tried to coach you on your people skills but, you just don’t get it. Your “my way or the Highway” presentation that anything bigger than a ultra light 48” Grapple is wrong......... is categorically just showing your limited knowledge of the complete range of grapples available and what we, in the real world, use our grapples for.

As previously stated, the members of TBN use grapples for a VERY wide range of tasks. I’ve done things with my 84” Grapple that would have wadded your 48” Grapple into a mangled ball of scrap metal.

Perhaps..... if you would preface your pontifications with “I’m an expert on grapples for SCUTS” you would have more credibility. Unfortunately........ you don’t. You constantly criticize those of us with large tractors and grapples for wasting our money and FEL capacity.

Trust me when I tell you that, few TBN members have ever bought large capacity grapples for fame or vanity. We USE them!

Peace out!

Don't stop there. Get a truly manly 1000lb high strength steel claw grapple from Anbo. It will set you back about $4K but I'm sure it will serve you well.

I have been following ALL the Grapple forums and I am leaning to the Anbo GR-S 60" for my Kubota M5160 4x4 with rear wheel weights and ballast in rear tires, I was quoted $3900. delivered to my farm. Land Pride is a few bucks cheaper, But the Anbo Tines made with AR400 Steel, it opens to 51" weight is 660# where Land Pride is 784# An EA about 2900 bucks. I hear lots of good things about the Anbo. I have always found if you by a better tool it will last. My two cents. If you see flaw in my thinking please tell me. Thanks

Why is it so expensive? Your tractor can only lift about 2500 pounds. I think you should look at what EA is offering.

Big words from someone who has apparently never operated a 48" grapple! You have such credibility.

I stated that the vast majority of TBN members/users are CUT owners. Look at the avatar signatures yourself and compare the numbers of utility to CUT/SCUT owners. Landslide. CUT/SCUT tractors make up about 90% of what TBN members use. It simply makes sense then to focus discussion on that CUT/SCUT group.

I don't criticize owners of large tractors for buying big grapples, I am very simply consistent in directing comments towards novice grapple buyers who are virtually never utility tractor owners (at least on this forum).

Eric and I don't often agree but we do in this case. That Anbo grapple is aimed at the commercial skidsteer market IMO. A Kubota M5140 doesn't have a super strong loader and would use the same class grapple as Eric and I own and use on similar size tractors with 2700lb lift capacity FELs.

Reminds me of this pic, which I saw just yesterday in a facebook group. Getting off a tractor and taking a pic is one thing, but a skid steer is a different animal.

What is the main use for your grapple?
