Had to get a stove from point A to point B in a hurry and I was by myself. Unloading wouldn't be a problem and it ends up loading wouldn't be either /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I found out the BX23 is VERY useful for lifting/FEL work/BH work, etc. I used mine alot when we moved into our present house by moving large tool boxes (heavy) and just about anything else that I had to get off the truck!
The "new" house is only 1 1/2 acre which means not much room to play with my BX23. We are buying a 1940 farmhouse with 8 acres near Columbus, Texas with alot of Oak Trees! I'll send pictures! Now, my BX'er will have some room to "run and Play" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'm gonna get a MMM...how do you like the 60" compared to the 54"?

I prefer the 60 inch MMM over the 54"
The wider the swath the sooner yer done.
I find the 60'' BX23 and the 46'' power craft are the ideal combination for my 2.33 acres.
The BX23 for the wide open space and the PowerCraft for the close in mowing.
My wife and I have double teamed the mowing.
Let me tell you a 9' wide cut makes short work out of 2 to 4 acres.
An even bigger advantage of the 60" mower over the 54" is that you can get closer to edges, trees, shrubs, etc. as the 60" sticks out the side of the tractor a bit more. The 60" helps cut down on trimming.
I like the 60" MMM quite a bit. I mow a pretty diverse plot of land and it does as good a job if not better than my former dedicated lawn mowers. On the flat and smooth lawn in the front it gives a great finish cut. On the former pasture in the back with ruts, dips and other uneven terrain, the floating deck makes it looks smooth and even. The blades rarely scrape. The MMM is about the quietest and smoothest mower I've used also.
I picked the 60" because it actually cuts down on the turning radius when mowing around trees and other obstacles and I wanted to cut a wider swath when mowing. I've never tried the 54" but from what I've read it also gives a very good finish cut.
If the 60" can fit around your property then I'd go with it. If not the 54" will do fine.
Sounds like you've got the place to work the BX23 likes it was designed for. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
For the 2nd Saturday in a row we get some snow. We've gotten more in the last 2 Saturdays than we got for the entire season last yr.
Those snows took their toll on an old dead pine and it fell over and layed on the fence. Looks like a job for the BX23's BH /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
A thumb would have been the ticket but curling the bucket pinning the trunk against the dipperstick worked good enough.
The BH lifted the small tree off the fence and the BX23 carried it out to where I could cut it up. That old pine is warming me up as I type this. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
