I got mine to pick up chicks :D

With a FEL you can pick up two or three at least 6 feet or so in the air. Of course if you drive with them in the bucket the saftey police will do some finger wagging.

I have a situation which is probably worse than yours. Snow melts on the sunroom and drips off. I thought it was high enough off the ground that snow would not be up against the glass, but I was wrong, so the near the end of the first winter my wife and I are trying to clear the snow away from the glass. We are in dense snow up to our crotch, digging in a snow and ice combination, and I am thinking why is god doing this to me.

Now the sunroom is on my normal snowblowing route.

I bought my tractor because I knew if I bought another motorcycle, I'd be likely to kill myself on it at my age. It's a safer toy.

In regard to the ice problem on those windows, I wonder if a fall application of rainex, or maybe Glass Wax (if they still make it) might prevent that ice from sticking, at least to the parts you could reach with the stuff..

A judicious use of an electric heater (the radiant type) facing the window from inside might get you fixed a section at a time, but at a pretty high cost..

While gardening was my number one reason for buying my tractor, well... in my heart. But my head told me I also needed it for snow as well. Really cannot live here without some kind of plan.

With those pictures it looks like the Triumph will be hibernating for some time! Beautiful bikes.

smfcpacfp.....Ya, that ice is some ugly stuff.

Do you use a roof rake.?? That is what I would recommend. With my flat metal roof over the sun room, the roof rake does a good job (easy) of clearing the snow before it turns to ice.

I don't like the chore but some things just need to be done. I lost my garage to ice and snow 2 years ago. Man, that's a wake up call. Now, my house is cleared of snow at all times. In fact, the sight of snow and ice on a roof makes me sick to my stomach.

The God send to that mishap was a new 2 story garage with a 12/12 pitch with metal roofing.

See....
