We have long needed a convenience up on the hill by the horse barn. After researching here on TBN, and elsewhere, this is what I came up with. Still some final trim and floor paint, but it is open for business.

Add a little more roof, gutters, a rain barrel and a hand pump and you'll have all you need except electricity.

We used to call that a "necessary house". My grandmother in eastern NC never had an inside bathroom, right up till she passed on in 1983. Claimed she liked her house just the way it was...

Now that is 'going in style!" Do you ever work up there after nightfall? If so, a solar powered night light would be handy and easy to install

Yes, I have a little solar light.
