I love the ac when it is hot. I love the heat when it is cold. Love not having dust and chaf covering me from head to toe. Love the am/fm/cd stereo. I love being able to do tasks in the rain without getting wet. So what's the problem? I have 300 mature pecan trees in the orchard with lower limbs that hang down lower than the top of the cab. I have a lot of trimming to do the Winter...:(

I don't like not having windows and being forced to run some sort of air. It would be great if the doors came off easily.

The whole rear glass on my unit tilts open from the bottom so outside air is easily available though it's not like having a cross flow type breeze.

Ever consider a boom or sickle bar mower to reach under the trees? I'd hate to take all the easy to reach branches out of my orchard.

Being stuck in an office job all day I kind of enjoy being out in the elements on my open station tractor. But yeah, if I had to make a living with my tractor the cab would be nice.

I've been working outside for the past 42 years and have had 35-40 pre-cancer and 2 cancer spots removed from my skin though I covered up a lot in the past. Having a enclosed cab now may be too late for me but I plan to enjoy it as much as possible as long as possible. :)

The trees are at 70 feet tall and 60 feet across. Due to the shading from the branches above the lower branches haven't had any production for a lot of years. None are very large around but it's going to be a lot of work to trim. I will probably use one height of scaffolding in a flat bed trailer so someone can ride on the scaffolding easily with chain saw and hand clippers with the whole set up pulled slowly with a tractor. No chain sawing from a FEL like we used to do years ago. Though the irrigation ditches that the rows of trees sit in have filled in over the years they are still too deep to use a sickle bar mower and make the cut look neat and tidy. Maybe it's time for a larger zero turn mower.

So does mine but as you state no cross breeze. I'm also fearful of having my back exposed to a sneak attack from bees so I never just leave it open.

Well, One can always run the fan without the ac compressor running to just introduce fresh air into the cab, but no, it's not like driving a regular tractor totally outside. I should not complain as I have always wanted a enclosed cab and finally have one. I was out at 4 am this morning picking up huge limbs with my skid loader with hydraulic "Hand" while running the ac and listening to Bon Jove on the radio. Life is good! The humidity is so high here on the Texas Gulf Coast I left a puddle of condensate on the barn floor when I backed in and parked. At first I thought it was a hydraulic leak until I found he drain hose from the ac unit. It needs to be extended as it drips on top the rear axle...
