That copper pipe down the well casing trick might have something to do with the falling water providing aeration.

Maybe the spray hose back into the well is to let oxygen clean the water??? The fact that whenever you are running the water it is continuously recharging some of the water in the well???

I've always wanted a polished copper counter like in a fancy bar, except I don't want to have to polish it. I hope yours stand up to abuse.

Kyle, the Permalac I used is supposed to be some pretty tough stuff...we will see. PERMALAC - Products . I put the second coat on yesterday, so the counters are done. I have not addressed the corners yet, but JB weld will be the quickest & easiest when I get around to it.

I finished the walls in the walk-in closet and it now needs shelves and hanging rods. I'm thinking threaded steel pipe.

So Home Desperate sells Bronze finished kitchen faucets, but not bronze drains? What the? I went ahead and bought brushed SS one's and they are going back....doesn't look right. I guess I have to try Lowes.

Ran the water some more yesterday and it is getting close to clearing up....still stanky though.

I passed my electrical even though my GFCI breaker I had on all the basement outlets quit working this weekend. The inspector said make sure it gets replaced.

I'm going to build the cedar loft railing today, and start trimming out everything.

Do you have a plumbing supply shop near you? Where do the plumbers there buy materials?

Rick,
I can not believe how beautiful the copper countertops came out. Copper countertops will be going on my "to do" list for the house I build.

Until Muhammed gets this new site working properly you have to go back and delete one of them.

Ok, so the County inspector is stopping by tomorrow hopefully to sign me off on final which gives us our C/O which means we can apply for re-finance. So today I worked on the loft railings.

Cutting out the post notches:

Scribing that dovetail type notch on the floor at the edge:

I cut the notch with a jig saw:

I wanted to cover the edge of the loft deck/floor, so I set the bottom rail right on the floor and cut a "L" notch it's entire length:
