That copper looks pretty wild. Good job.

If I am looking at it correctly the water heater is on an outside wall. How do you protect the water lines ?

Been into the Redman have ya?

Do you have a completion date firmed up? I'm sure some kind of party would be in order. You need to slow down You're making the rest of us look bad.

My water comes out the top. I WISH I had the adaptor. You can add a hand pump like the simple pump very easily to that setup and use it to charge your pressure tank if the power went out.

It is really wild....feel stuck in the '60's...man:laughing: Reminds me of Goldie Hawn in a paisley skin suit:thumbsup:

Yep, it'a an outdoor heater & I'll have to put heat tape on the pipes and build a box around it.

Yeah yeah....fell off the chew wagon a week or so ago, I'll climb back on in another week.

I have been following since day one and wish to continue the encouragement.
Most of all I wish to congratulate you on the ingenuity craftsmanship and courage.
In this day and age few would attempt never mind finish such a project.

The expression; "Jack of all trades, master of none" certainly is not applicable here but should read "---master of all"

Thanks Piloon, I do pretty good on most things with wood. But getting into the trim and finish carpentry is where I falter...that is true art combined with real skill. I spent a lot of time scratching my head and re-cutting miters after doing them upside down and backwards:cool: When I see a real finish carpenters work I just stand slack jawed and stare at it like I was at some fancy museum.

Final electrical inspection today, I just remembered I have to put the cedar plank up in the walk in closet to cover an outlet and a light switch.........gotta run.

Why is the water heater outside? I thought these mounted to the inside of an outside wall, and vented through the wall. I know the vent kit is expensive, but i would worry about freeze up during a power outage. Im sure there is a reason, just had to ask.:D

I have a neighbor that had sulfur smell in his water. Some old guy told him to to get some small copper tubing and run it to the well casing and then take some pliers and mash the end of it. Then point it down in the middle of the well casing. Then hook it to main line of the house so that whenever the the water is running some is spraying down the well. He swears it completely took the sulfur smell away.

Dave I just didn't see the need for it inside the basement and yes much easier to install just hanging on the outside wall. I have a 3500 gas and a 24KW PTO Generator, so power outages don't really bother me:)

Russ, I never heard of that, but since sulphur eats copper maybe the process cancels out the smell?

Maybe the spray hose back into the well is to let oxygen clean the water??? The fact that whenever you are running the water it is continuously recharging some of the water in the well???

I've always wanted a polished copper counter like in a fancy bar, except I don't want to have to polish it. I hope yours stand up to abuse.
