Some people compare farming to sitting in their den. Clueless.
I remember that jack@ss.
I think he said baling hay was easier than mowing your lawn.
What was his name???? Gay….

Finished the last 2 pea patches. I listened to the Eagles game here and there and tried to enjoy it, rather than be grumpy about the repairs.
Sorry for the weird lookin photo. I got a I phone 17 to replace my sorry-azz 5 year old crushed & mangled phone and my new phone makes photos look elongated or not show up at all.

After I took the baling tractor back to the shop for the last time, I already knew I would miss hay & baling. Would love to make another 100 bales, but sure would be nice if everything worked without breaking.
Tinker around with the camera settings. You should be able to default to a size and quality that works for you. And hopefully turn off exif data.

I don’t really see a “photo size” option.

Possibly, but I have no idea what I’m getting myself into. I was going to try to find a way to push ATF through it since ATF has some cleaning properties in it and is good for loosening thick sludge.
I cannot remember its name, but long ago we had a grease "gun" that you hit the end with a heavy hammer and it forced grease into the zerk. I wonder if it could be filled with ATF instead of grease?
It resembled an impact type socket; sorry I'm not good at describing this.

One of these by any chance;

I have never used grease in one always a light oil or diesel to try and clean a zerk out. With success maybe 30% of the time.

Not at all, you actually described it very well. I tried forcing ATF into the greaser bank, but the problem is I was running out of time for it to work through. I removed it on Friday and tinkered with it over the weekend, knowing the time left to make hay is running out. It was so packed tight with grease, I couldn’t force much ATF into it.
The other thing I realized is that there are 5 tiny “valves” or timers inside the block and the likelihood of complete and lasting clean out was not that good. If you saw this thing, you’d understand.

We still have one of those. It's for getting grease into lines where you can't pump it in due to blockages I have honestly never seen where it worked.

We usually unscrew the zerk and dig in behind it with a drywall screw to create a little space and remove hardened junk, pour ATF in the space, install a new zerk, then pump grease in.

My best luck with those is to remove the zerk and as above a small screwdriver and spray brake clean to get out all that is accessible, then reassemble and using either WD40 or any solvent or lastly ATF or diesel to drive through the rest of the caked dried out grease and hopefully not have to disassemble the equipment to get it to take grease.

I didn't know about ATF on hard packed grease. I remove the zirk, dig out as much as I can with something tiny that I find laying around, and they spray inside there with Brake Fluid. That seems to dissolve what's in there. Then I put on a brand new zirk fitting and pump full of grease until I see it coming out.
