Can you use some sort of chemical to kill the pond growth?
Around the edges/on the banks? Or in the water itself?
Customer wants to kill the algae, but only cut the weeds on the banks.
They are researching methods for the algae.

HD, I have also weed wacked along pond and creek banks. No fun. The trimmer is always below the normal level of yard trimming (or your feet). So you need to bend over more while standing on the banks. Jon

Today was a whopper in terms of Field Mowing acreage & time.
This is a messy one-time/year cut, but this year their Bradford Pear really exploded because they waited too long. Should have been cut in March or April. About 45 acres. There’s about 30 trees to cut around-most with low branches.

This stuff is 5 to 10 feet tall. The BP is 1.5” at the base. Believe it or not, 20 years ago, this was a productive hay field.

Looks great Mr. HayDude!

It makes for a long day...but for me at least, cutting a field like that ranks near the top for immediate reward when you see the results.

Shame the owner lets it go to 1x cut per year. You (and your equipment) have to work twice as hard to mow it, but you only get 1 payday.

Very astute observation. I hate “1X” customers.
I charge them extra for it.

It could look beautiful with 3 cuts/year.
