Had the deluxe upper and lower.
The worst part absolutely was the gallon jug of devil juice and no food.

Honestly, after the doctor became so intimate with me I kinda expected a box of chocolates as a parting gift.

not looking forward to the next one

I had my first one (age 38) back in March, everything I had read said to go lax on eating a few days prior t make prep day easier. It wasn't bad, fours bottle of yellow gatorade for breakfast lunch and dinner, I have a bathroom out in my shop, it wasn't a hard day. Even went for a ride on the horses with my daughter. The next day had bad gas, didn't pee right for a few days it seemed, they removed 3 pollyps and 2 hemorroids (the main reason for the procedure in the first place). Get to go do the rodeo in 2 1/2 more years.

Just think how the doctor feels. I'm sure there are days that they feel the money aint worth it.

I don't know.... if you have the right attitude, it's just a plumbing inspection on an old house. ;)

I had one last spring. The prep is nasty!

The anesthetic they used on me during the procedure was fantastic. I was laying there and she said you might start feeling drowsy. I said "I don't feel any different than I did 10 minutes ago." She smiled at me and said "Mr. Mossroad? Wake up, it's all over."

I was in a different room and my wife was sitting there laughing at me because I was passing gas in my sleep. Don't remember 1 second of what happened in between. Felt pretty good. Waited half an hour, walked out to the car, went and got a huge sub sandwich, ate, wife and I drove up to a casino, gambled a bit, and took a drive through the country on a nice afternoon.

Easy-peasy once you poop your brains out. :p

It is sometimes a good thing to be old.
Next one scheduled for age 85 or later.
The odds considered, I have likely had my last one!

Yep. Having had several with no adverse signs, The doctor quit on them as I passed 75. The odds are way low for dying from colon cancer after that. The growth is so slo you are almost certain to die from something else first. Coming up on 85 and still cutting firewood. Harvested some 15+ cord this year.

I used to have a link to a song "The Colo-Rectal surgeon". A real riot.
