They discontinued the little phosphor containers to induce movement. Now, you have to take a huge amount of liquid which could trigger me into another congestive heart failure issue. So, my doctor has given up on having me do them the last 7 years. The pills don't work.

Ya ain稚 lived unless you have had a partial one while wide awake, no sedatives no anything right in the doctor痴 office. The doctor, a young attractive nurse and me. They now are a piece of cake compared to that.

I am now on the 5 year plan, had the first one when I turned 50. The prep is a lot less horrendous now, the first one required Phospho Soda, kinda metallic salty taste. My son who had to have a number of them as a young child, (ever tried to get a four year old through bowl prep? )was waiting with great anticipation of my trials and travails of drinking vast amounts of the stuff. So I had to chug it down without showing any sort of adverse reaction! Later though as it took effect I swear I had so much delta vee I was hovering over the throne!
Several times since the thrust has been much lower, taste has changed, not as bad, but I still wouldn't do it for fun!

Had a friend who had one recently. He knew the doctor doing it was a jokester with another doctor. Let’s say their names are Dr Smith and Dr Jones. As they were getting ready to knock him out he told Dr Smith he had heard some bad things about him. Dr a Smith wanted to know who said it but my friend wouldn’t say. Before he went in he had his wife write on his butt with a Sharpie “Dr Jones thinks Dr Smith is a quack”. I can just hear the laughs in the room when they pulled the sheet back and went to work.

OK, been there done that, I have two close friends who got scoped and ended up with perforated guts.
My doc says, being that your 76 years old with no big C history no need to get scoped, but do the Cologuard poop in the box thing every three years. If there’s something going on it will show up in the DNA of the stool sample.
Bottom line, (pun intended) getting older does have some advantages however the UPS guy handles the return package very carefully,
I wonder why?

Have only had the lower never the upper. I got lucky and do the every 10 years test.

I would hope they do the upper first before the lower. Could leave a bad taste in ya mouth otherwise.

Had my first one a couple of years ago. No where near as bad as I thought it was going to.

Being my first one, I made sure I got a souvenir

It is sometimes a good thing to be old.
Next one scheduled for age 85 or later.
The odds considered, I have likely had my last one!

Yes the day before is murder riding the porcelain bus. After I woke up the doctor said all was well. I said I had to use the restroom. He says no you don't, it's air, let it go. Which I did, enough gas to inflate the Goodyear blimp. Several pretty assistants left the room.
