Mahindra 5035
Money down on a new Mahindra 5035. :cool2: My first Tractor

Trying to wrangle the 2000 mile delivery for next week once I get home to receive it. Hoping we don't get a Lemon.

It's coming with Front Loader and Backhoe and Industrial tyres. I'm excited to get one of the last 5035s -and so not have to worry about the electronics in the newer Common Rail Diesels.

Wearing a big Grin today :D

cheers

Alan

You are really going to like it. I have a 2011 version.... lots of room to get on and off and the thing is a real beast with all the weight it has to throw stuff around with... :)

Was 2,000 miles a typo, or is this the only dealer in Australia! I'd make sure I test everything when they deliver it - warranty work will be a pain! Hope you enjoy it.

No typo. It's coming a bit over 2000 miles actually. There are a good few Mahindra dealers in Australia, but it's a bigger country than most people realise and we live pretty remote. Yeah have had 'the talk' to our dealer about the pre delivery inspection.

He's taking it home and putting a few hours on it before re-checking it all over the day it ships...

Fingers crossed!

Ok folks,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I lead a complicated life across several countries and 'lives' at the moment.

The 5035, (now named 'Hindy') arrived. About ten days back and was immediately put to work digging out pads for installation of water tanks. It did an amazing job and I really couldn't be happier. Better still my wife also loves it.

The dealers who shipped the tractor 2000 miles to our district did an excellent job checking it over before dispatching. They put seven hours on the clock working it to check everything. Any Aussies on here I can highly recommend 'Coast to Country Tractors' at Beenleigh. Young people just starting up but committed to service.

Finally a thanks to the folks on here who made useful comments and suggestions to a tractor newbie. I'm sure I'll be back on here regularly with questions and updates on our adventures. We are a couple living a long way from anywhere, and so by necessity have to be highly self reliant. We have much to learn about the operation and maintenance of Hindy. Pics attached. image.jpegimage.jpeg
Regards to all.

How's the tractor treating you Alan? Is that a grapple or a 4-1 bucket your carrying in the front bucket?
