I guess I'm weird cuz most everyone likes the music of their younger days and think that it gets worse as they grow older. Born in '66 and my parents listened to Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, and Gary Stewart. But as a youngster I discovered Kiss. Been a rock fan ever since. By high school my favorite was Sammy Hagar. Then it just kept getting heavier. The 80's and hair bands. 90's were different but I like a lot of that. I'm 51 now and still listen to head banging rock in the shop at work when I'm not listening to politics. Tool, Seether, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin. On that note hard rock's Linkin Park lost their frontman Chester Bennington to suicide this past July.

Nobody had mentioned Gord Downie of Canada’s Tragically Hip passing away October 17, 2017.
One of the greatest singers, showman, but hardly ever heard outside Canada.

I was so lucky to live where I do, they’d be filling giant hockey arenas across Canada and I’d get to see them in some little club or gymnasium when they’d sneak across the border. No other show like it.
So sad.

Gord was in amazing form for the final concert they gave. He was far enough along with his illness, that there was a lot of concern that he could keep performing through the whole night.

Canada basically shut down, the night of the final concert in Kingston. I don't know anybody here who didn't watch it. CBC broadcast the entire concert, start to finish, with zero commercials - fitting tribute to an artist and band that had a tremendous impact in Canada.
