Yeah just 300$ rebate.
My dealer recommended I wait until
Mid March and would probably get better rebates. But since I already sold my BX I need a tractor tomorrow. If I was just trading in waiting wouldn稚 be so bad.
Well, the $300 orange rebate goes January 1 to the last day of March. April 1 will see the announcement of the Q2 programs. So his saying mid March... Incorrect. No information is released to even the dealer network until day 1 of the quarter..

.........I walked right in and bought a B2650 today........just as it was coming out of the crate...Should get it delivered next week.

Cheers,
Mike

Perfect timing Mike. If you have any intention of utilizing a grapple in the future you might let them install a 3rd function while it's still there at the dealership. Regardless congratulations!

Maybe I misunderstood him on the timing for rebates. I just hope it comes in sooner. Oderinf the larger tires seemed to go smooth.

Rock crawler,
Can you verify the couplers for the 3rd function are 3/8 size? Thanks

Having thought through my needs, Milo, I opted for the standard bucket (not QA) and no third function up front. But...............I did want a valve to control the 3 point top link. The dealer says that Kubota does not provide that option, which sure puzzled me. Now, the rest of us new B2650 owners will have to post some pics like RC has done.

Cheers,
Mike

They offer rear remote kits...
But there expensive and the valve is mounted out on the ROPS. Not a good design at out. I can post some pictures tomorrow of how I am going to do mine. I figured it will cost around 275 compared to about 1000. And it will look a lot better. I found the pictures and guides from some threads floating around the internet

Mike, standard bucket (not QA) makes perfect sense if you see no need for different buckets, grapple, etc on the front. Therefore no need for a third function as well.

Kubota does offer a kit for a single rear remote as well as a kit for two rear remotes (the second having a float function which is what I have).

I dropped the backhoe yesterday (literally took about 3 minutes) so I'm going to leave it out back for a while since I have the grader blade on so that I can play with snow. Somehow I put 7 hours on it this weekend just messing around in the 10 degree weather.

I ordered a 10 mil tarp on Amazon, 12'x16' Grizzly Tarp with plastic and metal reinforced bungee holes. Good reviews for a $25 tarp. I'll cover the backhoe to keep the sun, rain and snow off of it until it's time to use it again. I really need to hit the lottery so that I can build a large garage. I just don't have any storage space around here to put things inside. View attachment 535967

Theres Angel, out there looking around making sure you did it right...lol

She's my helper. I talk to her constantly explain what we are going to do, and I often ask her for help or to run for a tool... but so far she is very hard headed and simply refuses to help or run for things

I sure wish she would help more (or at all!), it would really make things easier! At least she is ALWAYS there for emotional support.... and to run a perimeter around me barking at the ninja chipmunks that she is always so worried about. If you watch any of my lame YouTube vids you'll often hear her in the background yapping on about something... we always assume that she makes noise outside to let all of the squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits know that if they come to close, they better be ready to fight

003.JPG It's here! :drink:

Now some first impressions.

Dang!!! That one piece hood is heavy....compared to the B2620. Dang!! It is a long step down to the ground away from the MMM, since the B2650 sits higher than the B2620....I'm only 5'3"...short legged old man.

That MMM looks to be more stout than the previous MMM. I don't like the digital dashboard, but already knew about that. I gotta be careful dragging my feet across the floor board where the treadle rocks. That seems like a good way to get a sudden lurch forward or backward from a stop.

Is it okay to till frozen snow covered plowed ground?

Cheers,
Mike

Looking good. Going to be the most paintful wait for me.

Why don稚 you care for the digital cluster?

Just prefer old analog style?

I agree about the hood and I also wish the prop held it a little more upright.

When I have the mmm on I use it as the first step.

I had a BX(2009) with a digital dash and had to turn the ignition on to read it when parked.....i.e. go get the key. And the analog dials were easy to read while in operation and in different light conditions. Oh well.

At 145 lbs I guess I could step on the MMM deck when dismounting....without doing any damage. That 'ud be better than breaking a leg.

And BTW, that oil dip stick sure is hard to get at, especially with the FEL attached......B2620 was out in the open .... easy to reach. Well, I never traded the B2620, so .......maybe I'll appreciate it even more now. :confused2::confused3:

Cheers,
Mike

Have I mentioned how totally super awesome the 3 point position control is compared to the super lame control on my BX25D. That alone is a game changer.

Yeah... that was a low blow.
I didn't realize how horrible not having position control is until you work with a machine that does have it. The ability to finely control what is behind you is awesome beyond anything you could have guessed. I would never buy a tractor without position control now that I've experienced what it does.

I'll bet that RC is angling to get a free Kubota hat from his dealer.:D

Also, ran to the local Walmart for some Power Service winter additive and saw that the shelf is wiped out of the 911.... They have the summer and the winter mix, but they are cleaned out of the emergency...

Why not toss in the winter blend and go home? Are you just being prepared? BTW, I've been running diesels for only 20 years, so I'm only a novice compared to some here, but I've had PS freeze up in me. Went to Howes, and had not one issue. Only time to use 911 is if you gel, and my little BX (maybe us tinker toy tractor guys shouldn't respond to these ton of testosterone tractor posts) has froze up just because of the asinine lawnmower fuel filters Kubota uses. You should be fine on yours.
