Thanks to all of you in the forum I have bought a ck20 w/ fel, backhoe will be here soon. I looked through all the topics and went with Kioti. Im very happy with it. Only thing I noticed is in high gear you have ease into the gas, if you put it to the floor she bogs down for a few seconds, other then that its an animal.

Thanks for all the helpful info that helped me make the right choice.:D

KenGod,

Welcome to the Pack! You'll quickly find that the folks on TBN are extremely helpful and they tolerate newbie questions really well! I know from personal experience.

I notice the same thing about high gear on my CK20HST when I have the backhoe on. I have alot of hills on my property and I have found that high gear is not very useful. I leave it in low gear all the time unless I have the backhoe off.

I hope you enjoy you CK20 as much as I enjoy mine. It make for an awesome toy. There's nothing like digging a big hole to relieve a little stress on the weekends.:D

Welcome Ken. Hope you enjoy your "animal" and good luck with it. I think you will find the Kioti are well constructed and have many nice standard features that are options on other tractors.

I also have the CK20 TLB and agree completely with the comments concerning the hi range HST. I wish they would simply lower it to a mid range ratio as I'd happily give up top end speed on a highway (who drives a small tractor like a CK20 on a highway anyways) and benefit from a more useful working range. I suppose the high range might be fine for flat mowing with no FEL and a MMM but it is near useless when you load up the tractor with FEL and BH.

Welcome, I too am a new member that recently bought the CK20hst. I love the thing. Other than the high range thing, my only other problem with it is having the rain.... on every off day! I did get out and mow with it last night though. As far as the high range deal I have just left mine in the low range and go on with it! I live in NKY And the hills around my place are pretty steep! Well welcome again.

Ken
welcome to pack.... i'm sure you will be happy with your selection.... i've had my ck20hst since 2004 and love it.....
as far as the hi range, i think we all agree a mid range would have been a great feature on the ck 20... my property is on a steep hill and i have found that i can make it up the hill in hi range (w/o BH) in 2WD not 4WD. so if you don't need to be in 4WD all the time, you may find the hi-range a bit more useful.....
enjoy your machine
