Thanks to all who answered questions and pointed my to previously discussed topics. My tractor hunt is over and all of your experience is well appreciated. I'm sure there will be more questions in the future. As for now just counting the hours till I can go pick up our new tractor.

Wow, that's like my dream tractor combination. I'm 1/4 the way there 'cause I bought an X590 in 2016. Awesome garden tractor and very wife friendly. With the HST, power steering, hydraulic deck lift, push button blade engagement, 12V power, and cup holder, my wife says it's easier to drive than her car. Jump the seat switch and the reverse cutoff switch and you'll be home free.

Tractorable, what does jumping those switches do for you? And how do you do it?

Offering advice on how to do it is a bad idea. The reverse cutoff switch likely kills the engine if you attempt to back up with the pto engaged. It’s extremely annoying because mowing in reverse is necessary to get around obstacles better. The seat safety kills the engine if you get off the seat. Some of the better one leave the engine running if you set the parking brake first. I don’t like it because I want to stand up for better loader visibility in some cases and hooking up a 3 point implement or the loader is a lot harder with the tractor off.

Yea, the lawyers probably don't want the information out there, but it's easy to find information on how to disable the nanny switches. Basically, anytime you need to back up to get around an obstacle the mower shuts off. Likewise, anytime you need to get your weight off the seat it shuts off. Really annoying.

The seat deal I don't mind so much. The killing the motor when switching to reverse I thought was to protect the drive system(belts) for the mower deck. If you can go in reverse without doing harm or putting undue strain on the machine I'll have to look into that.

I'm pretty sure the reverse kill is a nanny feature because you can't see as well in reverse. My riding mower tractor does this by default but if you turn the key back one notch then it allows reverse with the blades turning. I had to disable the seat switch myself because the seat gets soaked if it's left in the rain now that it's all cracked so we remove the seat every time we use it and the wire kinda interferes with that...
