It's been a cold wet spell .. Sunshine would be a welcome pleasure .. Can't help wit the MIL!!

BR--Taking MIL to Love Field Saturday, then things will be a little smoother and back to normal. As I get older and crankier I like it better when things go along at their "Normal" pace.

Hopefully a certain cowboy will move to Texas some day.
hugs, Brandi

Hope he's not waiting for a certain Texas cowgirl to move to Florida or the "happily ever after" story ending might never happen. :confused3:

Anything east of Texas is a no no for me. If I would have visited Alaska before I married, I would have moved there and might have been Sarah Palin's neighbor now! Each year, the cold is getting harder to take. As it is now, I could hire out my right knee to be a weather forecaster.

Brandi, my 2 younger brothers lived in Anchorage 20 and 25 years. They fished in the summer, hunted moose, caribou, and snowshoe hares in the winter, raced snowmobiles, etc. The younger of the 2 even raced professionally a few years. And now he's the coldest natured guy you could find; keeps the thermostat set high in the house, living near Waco, TX. He's a golfing fanatic, but wears long johns and has an enclosed golf cart with a heater.

A guy told me that, an older Mexican woman told him that, the jalapenos with the pointier bottoms are hotter than the one's with rounded bottom tips. It seemed to hold true at a party that we were enjoying some stuffed jalpalenos. spelling intended. Sometimes I call them Mexican pickles (the pickled ones).

As you were, carry on. :)

Yeah, and the NWS and the radar make it appear that it's soon going to start raining and keep on through tomorrow. We definitely need the rain, but since I have a 6:30 a.m. doctor's appointment in the morning about 35 miles from here . . . . well, the timing could be a bit better.

Light drizzle here already. At least we wont have a freeze with this go around and the snow will be "fun" to watch falling.

It's raining here. Supposed to stick with us through tomorrow. Just brought the horses in. Guess they get a barn day tomorrow. Things should be clear but cool on Friday, then back to "normal" temps on Saturday and Sunday.

Sure surprised me, too. When I called and the lady asked if I wanted a morning or afternoon appointment, I told her "morning" and the earlier the better. So she said I could have 6:30 a.m. if I wanted. This strabismus specialist has 2 offices and he's only in the one I'm going to from 6:30 a.m. to noon one day a week and all afternoon another day each week. The rest of the time he's in his other office.

Another thing I haven't quite gotten accustomed to is so many doctors in this area having 2 or even more offices. Some of them are in a different office each day of the week and sometimes that entails a considerable amount of driving for them.
