Yeah, and the NWS and the radar make it appear that it's soon going to start raining and keep on through tomorrow. We definitely need the rain, but since I have a 6:30 a.m. doctor's appointment in the morning about 35 miles from here . . . . well, the timing could be a bit better.![]()
Just dumped the gauge for the Cocorahs daily report. I'm now the proud owner of 1.62":dance1:
Sure surprised me, too. When I called and the lady asked if I wanted a morning or afternoon appointment, I told her "morning" and the earlier the better. So she said I could have 6:30 a.m. if I wanted. This strabismus specialist has 2 offices and he's only in the one I'm going to from 6:30 a.m. to noon one day a week and all afternoon another day each week. The rest of the time he's in his other office.
Another thing I haven't quite gotten accustomed to is so many doctors in this area having 2 or even more offices. Some of them are in a different office each day of the week and sometimes that entails a considerable amount of driving for them.

I only received .10, so a total of 1.72" Not going to complain, our lakes are still severely low.
What was the last year it was full? HSOur Austin lakes are also not full. Travis is still 57' below full.
My official morning Cocorahs report was 1.26". I just looked at the gauge again and the inner inch tube is filled again and there is about a half in in the large tube. So, since last night we have had about 2 3/4" and it is still raining! My front two ponds are now overflowing and our county road is flooded and impassable at the branch/dry-creek.
I have one place, about 10 acres, that runoff water does not first run into a pond. It goes right to the county ditch. My rock dam is preventing erosion at the fence line but I may need to make it longer. I need a pond to trap this runoff water.
