Has been raining off and on all night, don't know how much yet, but sure looking forward to it!

Bird, I hope your Doc has had his morning "Joe"!

Yeah, and the NWS and the radar make it appear that it's soon going to start raining and keep on through tomorrow. We definitely need the rain, but since I have a 6:30 a.m. doctor's appointment in the morning about 35 miles from here . . . . well, the timing could be a bit better.

Bird-- I know it's raining at your place, 'cause it's pouring here since last night. Be careful out there, hope you get ahead of the traffic with your early departure.

Charlie

Sure surprised me, too. When I called and the lady asked if I wanted a morning or afternoon appointment, I told her "morning" and the earlier the better. So she said I could have 6:30 a.m. if I wanted. This strabismus specialist has 2 offices and he's only in the one I'm going to from 6:30 a.m. to noon one day a week and all afternoon another day each week. The rest of the time he's in his other office.

Another thing I haven't quite gotten accustomed to is so many doctors in this area having 2 or even more offices. Some of them are in a different office each day of the week and sometimes that entails a considerable amount of driving for them.

Sounds like me ... when they ask I always say morning and the earlier the better ... its always like 8:30 to 9 .... I'm like geez get up in the morning!!!

BR, I'm betting it is close enough to you that you could still get stuck! Should be headed your way... Might tell Cher to get the "pull" truck warmed up and ready:D

Sure enough, I drove in a moderate rain all the way to the doctor's office this morning. The place was one doctor and more than a dozen helpers and plenty of customers. When they unlocked the doors there were 3 other people waiting to get in. Three hours of more tests by more different people and with machines I'd never seen or heard of, then they put the prism on my glasses, had me stop by Lab Corp to get blood drawn for a blood test of some kind, and made another appointment for Monday afternoon.

And it's quit raining for the time being at least and I just poured an even one inch of rain out of my gauge.

My official morning Cocorahs report was 1.26". I just looked at the gauge again and the inner inch tube is filled again and there is about a half in in the large tube. So, since last night we have had about 2 3/4" and it is still raining! My front two ponds are now overflowing and our county road is flooded and impassable at the branch/dry-creek.

I have one place, about 10 acres, that runoff water does not first run into a pond. It goes right to the county ditch. My rock dam is preventing erosion at the fence line but I may need to make it longer. I need a pond to trap this runoff water.

While I never complain about rain, we need all we can get, sometimes the timing isn't great. This is the trench my electrical is supposed to be run in. This the second time it has been dug and then filled with water. At this rate it may be August before I get the conduit ran.
