Anyone remember threads about a type of temporary building that had a rigid roof and poles that seems to screw into the ground (or maybe there were stays that did that? Or perhaps I did not understand how they were erected and they were more like pole buildings)? These seemed to go up quickly, had optional rigid sidewalls, and were reasonably priced but I can't find the threads anywhere. This design seemed more suitable for my purposes than other ideas-- I don't like the fabric buildings for various reasons, and would prefer a temporary building over a more permanent pole building.

The purpose is mainly machinery, hay, and miscellaneous storage. Conditioning is not required. Rigid walls a plus for (light weight passive) security and protection from elements. Moderate snow load, somewhat large wind load, no seismic loading, ground type free draining gravel.

Thanks.

google "metal carports" to find a supplier near your location. I know it says carports, but you can get them fully enclosed as well.

I remember that thread. One of the guys from NH put one up. DuctTape maybe? Do a search on his name.
