I generally leave my trucks unlocked and usually leave the keys in my company truck during the week. In winter it's for safety, in case of fire I can go out through my bedroom window and get into the truck.
Lately though somebody has been going around stealing cats from vehicles. My personal truck was out by the road and hasn't been used all winter; I moved it down to the house, and both trucks are locked when before I go to bed at night.
