New Holland TC45DA Cab/SS
Hello everyone. What a great website you all have here. The wealth of knowledge and the helpful atmosphere is a welcome relief to some other sites. My wife and I have determined that after looking and driving the big 3 lineup, we have decided to purchase a New Holland TC35D. It appears that the age of the Minnesota web page pricing for this series of tractor is dated 10-01-01. Does anyone have a more updated area for pricing? Does anyone (spencer200?) have any info on the New Holland incentive programs for Jan/Feb for dealers or customers. I'm in the process of getting quotes for our setup, but I would like to get your input on the first one back.

New Holland TC35D with SuperSteer
17LA loader
Quick tach adapter
72" HD bucket
R4 Ind. tires
Block heater (It's cold here in Minnesooooda) :)
$20,885.00 Not including tax.

I'm looking at getting (2) attachments priced separately, a 6' box blade and a set of pallet forks.

Does this sound like a fair price, and also, please advise on the attachments or any other suggestions. I have learned a lot from you all, and hope to return the favor in the near future.

Thanks again, Matt.

Red Dog, I purchased a TC45D with SuperSteer and 17LA in December. I recommend that you get at least one set of rear remotes, and get the bolt-on cutting edge for your loader (so you dont bend the bottom edge of your bucket as easily). I also added the grill guard, not so much in that I thought I would need it, I got it because it looked good - That grill guard has saved the front of my tractor at least 4 times when pushing over dead trees that have falling limbs and snapping sections of trunk that come flying back at you.

As for your pricing, I don't really know. I purchased my tractor as a bundle deal with a mower and slew of accessories. Although your price sounds pretty good to me especially since that includes the SuperSteer option.

I wish you well on negotiating the price on your tractor.

The incentives for dealers are hardly worth mentioning at this time 1% on a tc35 and 250.00 on the loader. That price is pretty good considering the incentives at the moment plus adding in the fact that freight cost went up the end of december 215.00

Hey Red Dog, a Minnesotan here also. The price sounds good. I think you can get free financing for a year also. That is what I got with mine anyway. I even saw 48 months free one place also.

I paid approx 19,000 including sales tax for the following,

TC29D with supersteer, 4 wheel drive.
Auto-matic 4 wheel or anti-slip
Industrial Tires
7308 Loader with 60" bucket
72" Mid Mower
Block Heater is standard.

Doesn't hurt to check around. The price I got was the best I could find. I check 5 places and this guy beat everyone by at least two grand. But I know if I was to look further around I could have got it for less. There is a dealer 8 blocks from my house, and he was 3,000.00 more.

What part of Minnesota are you from. South Eastern here

Spencer200, Do you have any thoughts on if the incentives will improve in Feb/Mar? It sounds like they can't get much worse. :) Thanks, Matt.

Thcri. We are located in the North Minneapolis area. I would be interested in where you purchased your TC29D at and what the high dealer is in your area. I'm checking prices at Caledonia, Lewiston, LaCrosse, and Rochester and some up in the Twin Cities area. However, we are really looking for a long term relationship, good service , and a fair price. I don't want to derail this thread so I will PM you offline with more info. Thanks, Matt.

I was quoted $20,170 for a TC35D when I was shopping over a year ago. Same package as you, but no supersteer and no Quick tach adaptor. There were no incentives going on at the time (other than some 0% or very low % financing). This price was before any negotiation on my part.

I think you've gotten a pretty good price for what was quoted.

Thanks for the advice. It appears that our first quoted price is a decent one. We have received back 4 out of 8 RFQs from area dealers so far. We may make the jump to a TC40D for $1,300.00. Does anyone have an opinion on the price jump and the benefits? Thanks again, and will keep you posted on what we decide. Matt.

You'll be happy you went with the TC40. There's a little more muscle in the loader and 3-pt lift specs. 4 cyl vs. 3 isn't a bad thing either. Some manufacturers charge a similar amount to step up and all they do is increase the bore size on the engine. A very costly process!!!!!!

Here is what we ended up getting. The tractor should be delivered by the end of the week. Can't wait!!!!!

New Holland TC40D with SuperSteer
17LA loader
Quick tach adapter
72" HD bucket QT with welded on hooks.
48" 4500Lb Pallet Forks QT
Woods GB72 Box Blade
front grill guard
R4 Ind. tires (rears filled)
Block heater
1 Rear remote installed
Parts & Service Manuals
1 rear work light installed
2 ROPS mounted lights (we install with clamps)

$23,745.00 Not including tax.

We will also be picking up separately from this dealer a NewHolland 758C Backhoe. Under frame mounting kit, 16" bucket, use tractor hydraulics. We will install this ourselves... saving $400.00 Total price for 758C backhoe package is $6,085.00 not including tax.

OK guys.... How do you think we did. Any advice on the backhoe install or anything else?

Thanks again! Matt.

Red Dog, it sounds to me like you got a very good deal on your tractor and implements. As a matter of fact, it is an exceptional deal. I think probably with the purchase of everything at once, you enabled the dealer to cut his margin to the bone, but still make enough to make the deal worth while. I hope he also has a good service department.

I can't tell you anything about the backhoe installation, but I'm sure someone will speak up about that issue. You might think twice about doing it yourself. $400 is only about 7% of the total cost and it will seem like a bargain basement price if you install something wrong and damage the tractor. I'm not trying to scare you, but that's just my two-cents on the backhoe installation. Good Luck! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I bought a Woods 7500 hoe and got good price but
it was on a skid and had to put together.
Had subframe, pto kit, 2 buckets and hoe had minor
assy.
Everything was simple bolt, together connect hoses, add
oil, put mounts on tractor loose, mount hoe and lock
everything up.
Dad helped me some but still had together in less
than 3 hrs and digging holes.

I'd do'm all day long for $400 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks guys for the responses. It's nice to know that we did get a good deal according to other TBN members. We received the tractor on Friday with the FEL and attachments. The backhoe and box blade will be coming in a couple of weeks. This dealer has been providing excellent customer service so far. They are about 150 miles away and they included free delivery of everything to us. We were all set up to have them bring it up on Friday on a trailer pulled by a pickup. Well, the great Minnesota/Wisconsin weather did not cooperate and the area was blanketed by some snow. They were trying to do everything to get us the tractor for the weekend. So, they went to plan "B". They put everything on a Freightliner semi flatbed and delivered to us Friday afternoon with no problems. NO Charge, and what service!

Have a great week everyone and I will try to get some pix posted this week in a new thread. Matt.

Matt, it sounds like your dealer is really trying to help you get started with your new tractor. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures and also hearing about your experiences as you install the backhoe. Maybe you could take pictures of that process and have a step-by-step record of the installation. I know you will really enjoy your tractor. I'm approaching 400 hours on mine and I still get a thrill everytime I climb onboard. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sounds like a great setup and I'm sure your going to have a lot of enjoyment with it. My only difference in your set up would have been to have 3 remotes on the back. One for the top link cylinder, one for the tilt cylinder (the combo is known as TNT or top n tilt) and the third or extra would be used for anything from hydraulic activated rippers on a box scraper or various other implements like back blades with hydraulics to a Harley landscape rake. I'm sure that if any of that becomes a possibilty down the road you can always add on. Great setup, Rat...
