Tires TC33 front tire replacement

Anyone ever needed to replace the front tire(s) on their tc33? I am finding it difficult to find a 25-8.50x14 Industrial tire. Anyone have suggestions on where to get one(or two)?

I remember a while back that when I went to the NH dealer (no longer in town) they said that when I go to replace the tires that there is a different size that the tractor is supposed to be replaced with when I need to replace. Anyone know what that new size is? I have a tractor from '99, if that helps. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Also is it possible to put ag tires(for better turning traction in snow and mud) on the front, leave the Industrials on the back and have the right ratio for 4wd?

I would fine another New Holland Dealer to get you the right tires. Or if some industrial tire dealer in the area they may be able to find some for you.

As far as mixing the tires, don't do it. That drive train is designed to work together at certain speeds and if you get the front going at a different speed from the back you will rip it up. Don't do it.

On the big ag tractors, you can't even replace one tire on a mechanical front wheel assist. It messes up the gears. You need to replace the front pair at the same time, and if you need to replace a rear tire, you need to replace all 4.

Probably not quite as big an issue with a CUT, but something to think about.

You know, that's not the first time I've heard it said that the ratio match on the TC33 is not as good as it could/should be. I can't recall if they were talking about the R4 or Ag tires, however. I'll be interested to see what the experts here say.

I know there was a "recall" on the stock front turf tire on my 1999 TC33. Dealer said it was for excessive wear. They put on a smaller size and then I had ground clearance problems. Made them take them off and put origanal size back. I probably could use a set of fronts this year. 600+ hrs now.
