What do you mean live PTO? Does that mean when you press the clutch to stop the PTO losses power? Can you explain that, and what the double clutch is or does?

LIVE PTO was developed sometime in the mid-1950's?

Live PTO's let you engage the PTO independantly of the drive wheels so you can have the tractor stopped with the PTO spinning or the tractor moving with the PTO stopped, or both moving or both stopped.
