Does anyone know anything about Taishan tractors? All that seems to be available on the net is company information. Anyone ever use one? How do you like it? Are parts available? What types of attachments are available? Where do you get them? Will these tractors accept brush hogs, loaders, mowers, ets.. from other manufacturers? I don't want to buy a tractor and not be able to get parts and attachments. Thanks for your input.

We are importing some Taishan tractors and parts now from China. If the tractor you are looking at has a Cat 1 hitch, than you should have no problem with most implements working OK. Is this a used tractor you are considering? If so what model? Parts are not as readily available as for the more popular Jinma brands, but there are several dealers capable of providing parts support. Taishan claims the largest share of Chinese home market, with 60% of under 30HP tractors sold there. We will know more when our first units arrive later this month! If you need anything specific please feel free to email.

Bluechip, did you order Taishan tractors or Foton. Am i wrong or didn't they quit importing under the name Taishan with the New Holland lawsuit against them? I had heard that they were importing them under the name of Foton. Anyway, they look like a nice tractor and i would like to see how they compare with the other Chinese tractors. We need Consumer Reports or somebody qualified to do an article comparing Jinmas/Kamas/Fotons/Lenar/and Benye tractors. Then doing a yearly update on them to see how they have done. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It is the Futian tractor involved in the lawsuit...not Taishan. I guess Taishan and Kama are the same tractor. I'm waiting to see if Bluechip likes the Kama shuttle shift. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm considering a used TS-25. It does have a cat 1 3 point hitch. 25 hp 2cyl diesel. I will be maintaining 5 acres. I want to be able to put a brush hog and finish mower on the hitch and a loader on the front. I have no problem with buying a tractor from China. The cost seems low and everything I have read has been positive. All this importing is fairly new. I don't want to get stuck with a tractor and no parts. Or worse yet have the company go out of business.

I've owned a Taishan 25 for almost 15 years, mostly pulling a 72" mower but also using a bush hog, hole auger, scraper box, and pond scoop. It has run well with minimal problems. I also have 5 acres and it is the perfect size for what I use it for. The tractor comes with a box of common spare parts (brake shoes, gaskets, head gasket, etc.) but I haven't had to use many of them. All in all it has been a good value for me.

I to have a Taishan 324, up till now only minor problems. Tonight I was using the scraper blade to repair the washed out driveway. Blade locked in the up position. Tried working the relief bolt but still stuck. Anyone have any suggestions.

I'm not familiar with that model. What age is is, which motor, and are there one or two levers to control the rear hitch?

It is a Taishan 304 - Dragon 324 Model 2100 2 cylinder Diesel if all of this helps. Not sure which numbers I should go by. The control levers are on the right side of the seat. It has a Check valve and speed lowering control on the front below the seat.

If the check valve under the seat got locked up while an implement is in the up position you may have to find a way to take the weight off the 3PH in order to free it up to drop. A jack, another tractor with a loader or something else to negate the pressure the weight of the implement is putting on the 3PH hydraulics. Once there is no weight on the arms you an again try to loosen the valve under the seat.

Hey Rich,

I did get the scraper blade off, put tractor in barn as it was starting to storm. Did play with the pressure relief a bit with no reaction from the lift arms. Today I took a jack out and put it on the arm and used a 2x4 up to the roll bar. Tried to put pressure on the arm while playing with the pressure relief, still not reaction. Think that I may have to take the seat off and pull the cover to the hydraulic section and see what is caught up. I did find that the control levers are also hard to push up or down so things may be screwed up inside.

Hi Tom,

I don't know a whole lot about hydraulics, so I tend to go for the basics....

Fluid level ?

Recently changed hydraulic filter ? An old filter may be holding a lot of water. The one that came on my used tractor was actually a Fleetguard Lube filter, not the correct hydraulic one - still worked, but just saying.... the wrong filter can end up on there.

You've probably checked already, just thought I'd toss 2 cents in anyway.

Best of luck with your fix.

Rgds, Dave.

Of the two hydraulic levers on the right, the outer one should be draft control. You don't need that for scraping, so it should be in the full up position. Any other position might interfere with normal rear hitch operation. Check also too confirm that the outside lever is actually still connected. That is, the handle could appear to be up - but the linkage could possibly still be engaged.

Looking for parts for a Taishan Model 25. Manufactured in 1981. Neeed a head gasket. If you know where I can find one much obliged !!

   / Taishan tractors #15
Usually the engine is from a separate manufacturer. If you can figure out the manufacturer and model of the engine you'll probably have better luck. There seem to be a lot fewer manufacturers of engines than tractors in China.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I will see if there is an engine number or other info on the tractor. It was built by Shan Tang Tractor Works not sure about engine. Thanks for the tip.
