Tachometer / Hour meter

Hey folks. Since I bought my tractor and got it running, my tach / hour meter doesn't work. I have studied the wiring diagram in the manual but can't seem to make sense of it with regards to the tach wiring. I also did a search and didn't find anything useful. I have attached a drawing of the rear of my tach. Can someone confirm if I have the correct color wires on the posts before I go thru the adjustment of the sensor? I'm thinking it is either wired wrong or defective, cause the hour meter doesn't work with the key on. BTW, I have a Jinma 204 with separate gauges.

All the other gauges work except my OPG. It worked and then stopped after an hour or so. Probably due to the many times I had the injection pump apart, lines loose, etc. Doesn't matter anyway, I'm gonna replace it with a mechanical gauge.

Is the sensor screwed in far enough? Should be screwed in till it touches the flywheel and then backed out 1 complete turn?

Thanks, John. I saw this drawing on your web-site but it doesn't have the color-code for the wires. I can't see the wire tag numbers on mine. You wouldn't know the colors would you?

Billy, I haven't checked it yet. Didn't get a chance this weekend either. I'm pulling the engine on my son's Navigator. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to work on it this week.
