I would like to add a tach and I would like to know if anyone has done it, and if so, how.

I have identified 2 possible approaches:

1. Use the Tiny Tach Tiny Tach. This approach uses a transducer attached to an injector line.

2. Use an alternator driven tach that is available from my local Deutz distributor.

I would also be interested in information about the advantages and disadvantages of a transducer driven tach vs an alternator driven tach.

Thanks for the link to the Tiny Tach. I've been wanting to put a tach on the Lombardini in my Magnatrac. The Tiny Tach looks like it might be a good choice.
