You don't even need to make it as diffficult as some might suggest... two people can tear out a fence FAST. if you happen to have hooks on the top of your bucket, hook the chain.... wrap the chain around the post twice and drop the hook over the top of the chain going to the bucket... as you lift, the bucket end "locks" the looped end against the post so it can't unravel (second person may need keep tension on looped side, but not much) Tee post comes right out and you drive to the next and repeat.... have pulled TONS of posts this way in quick fashion.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hello the group....have a device that has a hole in each end., you drop one end over post and hook of chain into other end and attach to 3pt. or FEL and lift....just slides on and off....bought it somewhere.....also they make a T-Post remover...about 3feet high with a lever and a hook that you raise and then push down have pulled several t-posts with this ....around 30-35 $....can even do wood post using techniques with chain posted from other folks.....a reallly neat device......but the chain around the post, works great also....have had to take tractor up against post and push--- then post should come out.....Mike

Unless you have really difficult ground conditions, I'd reccomend a t-post puller like the one BigDogues linked to. I pulled about 30-40 posts with the FEL last year re-setting some cross fencing. There were a few I couldn't get to very easily with the tractor, so I borrowed a t-post puller to get them out. After I used the puller, I went out and bought one for myself. To me, the time savings was worth the 40 bucks for the puller. By the time you align the FEL, position the bucket, wrap the chain, and pull the post, you could have pulled 5 posts with the t-post puller.

Every once in a while you'll get one that's stubborn and needs the power of the tractor to pull out. Except for those, three pumps of the handle on a puller gets it done!
