Swinging Backhoe/Grapple

I would be worried about the ability to twist your loader arms is you have it swung all the way to the side and put a massive load on it. That kind of worries me about the boom mower, as well.

I can't tell real well from the pictures, but does it only swing to the right side? I've rented a mini excavator once that only swung to the right. It allowed you to get up next to and dig almost parallel with a foundation wall, but only if you were to the left of the hole.

I was curious about that also, as it looks like the cyl is fully retracted with the boom straight out which would only give a left side dump.

Then again, the pictures viewing angle may be hiding the other cyl that would push or pull the other direction.

Ken, could you show a picture from the other side?

From what I can see, the push pin is toward the back of the pivot pin, and if the cyl pushes behind the pivot, the BH will swing left from the drivers viewpoint , but it may be the viewing angle.

I only see hoses for two cyl's.

I don't see the hose and hose bracket on the other side either.

Only Ken knows.

it swings both ways with one cylinder. The cylinder connects past the pivot point, levering the hoe back and forth. It seems to work well. Half extended is basically centered.

The boom mower has a counter weight which would help balance out the forces.

No, it is about 60 degrees each way.
