2 winters ago when I picked up my little kubota I had it in Or. for a few days, it took me most of a day to get 7 of those stumps with my little backhoe.

The logger offered to pull them all at the time with his equiptment for 1200$ but the uncles didn' wanna spend the loggin $ back into the place and figured us 50 something yr old "kids" needed something to do:laughing:

Dead Horse, That's a great tip about using the excavator to pull them like that plus you have the power of the boom pushing as well as the tracks pulling.

Jake waitin for you to get your operation fine tuned and see what you can really do with that as well as how big of stumps you can pull.

Jake, when I started reading this thread, I thought you were doomed to failure. Little did I know, but now I'm eatin' my thoughts. You have done a great job. Just be safe and think everything through before putting the load under tension. I'm being very entertained watching your success.

Thanks Jinman, and everybody else. It's been entertaining to me too. Nothing like the unstoppable meeting the immovable for some cheap entertainment!

this confirmed the pressure, it was either 2400 or 2600, I have to check again, but holding 1000lbs. steady didn't seem likely, there was too much going on.
