Stuck with a BH92 backhoe I can't use

It should be the dealer holding the bag, not you. You never even got the "bag".

I think thats exactly what happened, unfortunately I think Kubota was kind enough to authorize someone to steal the brackets out of my kit and left me holding the bag. I am going to call the owner tomorrow, like usual I'm sure he won't answer the phone. He only answered it once for me when he was trying to convince me to buy it. Thanks

Sorry to say this because you like the guy but when all is said and done on this issue, buy the next stuff from someone else.

I put a complaint in on Kubota's website, we will see if they care about their customers I guess. I actually bought another new tractor L2050 from this company in 1992, it was so reliable I just never had another dealing with them so I assumed they were ok.

This shouldn't be that difficult. Kubota manufactures their own backhoes, including all the subframe components, in a factory in Georgia. Any backhoe component should be obtainable, particularly if it's missing because of some foul-up within the Kubota distribution chain. If the "boss man" is ducking your phone calls, go down there and sit outside his office until he musters enough backbone to speak to you in person. You need to stare at him eyeball to eyeball when you demand answers, not *****-foot around playing phone tag with that guy. The fact he's hiding from you says something about him (or you, I guess, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt ), and where the foul-up probably took place. That would be one reason to get the regional Kubota rep involved.

Many manufacturers have an equipment down special order that cuts through and gets the part right away from wherever. Some charge a 10% premium that includes next day freight. I don't know if Kubota has anything like that but It might work.

Do you have a sales receipt showing a tractor and backhoe, with separate serial numbers sold to you on a certain date?
Do you have a delivery receipt for having received the tractor on a certain date?
If you have paperwork proving you ordered and are paying for certain items financed by Kubota Corp. then you have some leverage with Kubota and their financing branch. Since you're paying for something that has as yet NOT been delivered, it should make a difference to someone in addition to you and theoretically your dealer.
Get on the phone with Kubota Corp and find out who you need to contact to get this resolved, or a full refund on the hoe. I think because you financed it may possibly make it harder to get rid of the hoe from the deal since it is part of the whole ball of wax.
No matter what it's on YOU to get things moving in the direction they haven't yet.

On the surface, it's hard to justify not delivering a complete, functioning product to a customer, particularly when it's the collateral on a financing loan. The tractor business is built on reputation and customer support, so it's really unusual to see a buyer left holding the bag so completely. I don't know if there is another side to this story, but jcc320, I hope you, the dealer and Kubota can get this resolved promptly and fairly.

I hope so too. But as for there being another side to the story....well, a long life has taught me that there is always another side to every story. I like to hear both before making up my mind.

Like I said I'm not trying to cause anyone a problem, just trying to figure out my options. I don't necessarily think it's the dealers fault, I'm sure they would love to get me off their back as much as I would like to have the backhoe. :)

I can not imagine a Kubota dealer ever just dropping off a BH on someone's front lawn, knowing that it is incomplete and may not be usable. This simply makes no sense. There is more to this story we have not been told.
