Glad you were able to get it off. For future reference the easiest way to get the shovel off would be to dig the deepest, skinniest hole you can with the shovel. When you are at the deepest point and can just barely get in and out of the hole the shovel will fall off and get covered with dirt. That usually seems to be my type of luck.
