I wanted to get some of my frustrations out so I took my bx22 out in the yard to play. It has been raining off and on for the last week. I figured it would be a good time to dig into my hillside and more the dirt around to level my yard some more. I drove my tractor up on this large pile of dirt that I had been piling up and my tractor sunk up to the frame. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I spent a fiew hours unsticking my tractor in the soft mud. I tried a come along with a fiew logging chains the tractor did not budge. I hooked up the logging chain up to my GMC 1 ton work van. The tires on the van spun and the tractor did not budge.

I tried the back hoe to pull myself out. The backhoe was not strong enough to pull the tractor out. I tried using the backhoe to lift up the rear wheels so I could put some rocks and plywood under the wheels. I also tried lifting up the back end of the tractor and pivoting it out of the holes that the rear wheels had dug I had some success. The tractor was so stuck that the wheels would not spin in low gear at times I also could not turn the front wheels. I tried lifting up the front wheels with the loader it would not lift them up high enough in the soft mud.I was finally able to get my tractor out.

By lifting the rear wheels up with the backhoe and putting rocks and wood under the tires.and digging the front wheels out I was able to pull my tractor out. I worked a few hours on the pile being more careful not to get stuck. Than I spent a couple of hours washing my tractor and removing the rocks and mud from the linkages on the right fender. It is a good solid little tractor it does had its limits sometimes I wash I had more power. I do feel I have got a lot of value for my money. I have put on 121 hrs working in my yard in the last 8 months
The backhoe and the loader stay on most of the time. David

next time you get your front end down where you can't lift it, try picking up a full bucket and extending the hoe as far back as you can. The counter balance should give the loader some help by lightening the front of the tractor. Sometimes you can lift the rears up and put something under them and by reaching out and putting more weight to the rear you can back right out. Be sure to keep the hoe as close to the ground as possible and put the stabilizers close to the ground also to prevent tipping. Use the loader bucket to help push back by digging it in and curling back as you back up.

Hi neighbor... glad you were able to get it unstuck.

Remember to clean out the mud from the valve stems... I had my front tires buried in mud once and didn't clean them before the mud/clay dried up. Ended up slicing the stem and creating a flat because there was a gravel wedged between the rim and stem.

It never rains in sunny southern CA. :)
