Stuck in High Range

I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME GET OUT OF HIGH RANGE. I HAVE A 353 TYM TRACTOR AND MY PROBLEM IS i CAN' T GET OUT OF HIGH RANGE, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IT TO SHIFT INTO MED. AND LOW RANGE BUT IT WONT GO, I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR OVER A MONTH AND HAVE TRIED MANY TIMES TO GET IT TO SHIFT, BUT NO LUCK. WOULD ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?

I'm sure you've already tried all the easy stuff, like pushing slightly down on the motion pedals, first forward and then reverse, all while giving the shifter a light, fast jab at the same time, to try to get it to move?

Are your forward and backward pedals both even height off the floor? Does the tractor try to move on it's own without depressing a pedal?

Does your shift linkage feel like it's still connected, or is it loose and flopping around?

Will the shifter move with the engine off (and the parking brake is off)?

If you have front loader on your tractor raise front wheels rotate bucket lightly try range lever.

My RK37 HC which is made by TYM is a bear to get to shift between ranges. Best way I've found is to come to a stop and then try moving the lever while easing back in reverse. Sane process with going from 4WD into 2WD.

Sounds like the drive isn’t going to neutral when you come off the pedals. You might try adjusting and lubricating the linkage between the pedals and the transmission.

My 14 year old M6040 can still be a bear when changing ranges. My solution - come to a stop - back up a few feet - come to a stop - NOW shift ranges.
