That Kubota gorilla has a twin working at the Kioti factory. :laughing: The Kioti hydraulic and HST filters are notoriously hard to free up the first time. I use a Vise-grip style chain wrench and a lot of tugging, but a pipe-wrench style chain wrench would be even better as it would give more leverage. I don't recommend driving a screwdriver through the filters. It may or may not work, depending on how stuck the filter is and how strong and long the screwdriver, but either way you'll have to contend with the escaping oil. JMO.
