Yesterday I heard the most bizarre story on the radio. So much so, that I'm having a hard time believing it. Maybe someone else has heard this, and can confirm.
I think this is supposed to have happened in Alabama. A gentleman who worked as a proof reader for 30 years died at his desk. Now for the strange part, No one noticed for 5 days. If I heard this right, he worked in an open type office with several other employees. He passed away on a monday, and was finally "discovered" on saturday morning by a cleaning person, who wondered why he was at his desk so early on a saturday morning.
His boss offered that the man was always the first one to start work, and the last one to leave, so no one noticed anything amiss. What? The man hasn't moved in 5 days and nobody notices? Has anyone else heard this story?

Looks like an urban legand.

He must not have had a tractor either. My neighbors would be calling the house if they didn't see me out doing something on the tractor for that long of time /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My co-worker was telling the same story to us....kinda like the ad on tv where the wife walks into husband office and shifts him around and leaves w/the pay check.

Kinda find it had to believe no smelt and oder.

Now see, this is one of the great things about this site. Not only is this story debunked, but a nice link is provided that was a lot of fun to look over. Thanks Jerry.

No big deal. I've had several folks on the payroll who exhibited the same behaviour - only difference was that after a good shake they ended up being alive after all. Still had to pay them for the "down-time" as well!!
