Stone wall project

I have no idea of what your soil is like, so this may help or it might be totally useless infomation.
I did somthing similar on a project in California and had trouble keeping the stones in place. A quick fix was to use expanding foam and liquid nails to hole them in place, but it got to be to expesive. Then I saw a program on TLC wich had a contractor backfilling with concrete to lock them in place. I mixed up a few sacks and it seemed to work. My wall was only about 2 feet tall at the highest, but fairly long to creat a flower bed using native sandstone taken from a seasonal creek bed.
I love the look of dry-stacked stone and it looks like your doing a great job!!

Whiskey...I knew I'd get some comments about the kitty litter box...LOL actually I'm using as my "stone wall tools" toolbox...I have so many projects going on right now that I am running out of places to keep my tools. Hopefully I will soon have a nice little shed for the tractor and tools at the end of my wall and I won't have to use the kitty litter box anymore...
Eddie...thanks for the insight...the soil here is pure clay except where I have brought in topsoil. The dry stack method usually doesn't require anything but the weight of the stones to lock them in place. My wall will only be 10-12" tall so it really isn't a concern. Once I back fill with the soil we have around here it should lock any mildly loose ones in place.
